Renault Alpine A110-50 - it's official
The Renault Alpine A110-50 – based on the Mégane Trophy platform with a Renault DeZir body – is officially revealed. We had our doubts that the Renault Alpine A110-50 photo we published earlier this week was real, but it seems it was; which goes to show we should really lock up our scepticism more securely. And now, as promised, Renault has revealed their first Alpine in almost twenty years in the A110-50, a car that has the underpinnings of the Megane Trophy and a body that seems to owe most of its DNA to the electric Renault DeZir Concept.
Nissan, in its quest to make the craziest compact car in the world, has released another video of the Nissan GT-R-to-Juke engine transplant. The video shows some of the frame cutting that needed to be done to fit the twin-turbocharged V6 into the Juke small crossover, along with the roll cage being welded in. Jigs are also attached to keep the frame straight while the work is going on.

Mercedes is to shake up its entire family of coupes, CAR hears. The changes kick off with the new E-class coupe and will include a proper new C-class coupe (instead of today’s short-cut CLC), as well as repositioning the top-dog CL. The CLK badge will die next year, replaced by the E-class coupe.
